More than thirty Biochemistry students and postdocs enjoyed a night of trivia on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the Winstein Commons.

At the event hosted by gBSA, undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs from all labs banded into six teams to compete in a battle of wits. Second-year student Won Jung served as the MC for the night.

Tequila Mockingbird, comprised of members from the labs of Prof. Catherine Clarke and Prof. Jorge Torres, took an early lead in the competition with their knowledge of biochemistry and movie quotes. The Better Half, with members from the labs of Prof. Robert Clubb and Prof. Steven Clarke, came close to overtaking Tequila Mockingbird, but Tequila Mockingbird held their lead, closing the game with their knowledge of pop culture.

The winning team took home Target gift cards. Food and beverages were provided by the department.

This event is the first of a series of team-based competition events planned by gBSA.
