Faculty, staff & student volunteers met admitted undergraduate students & their parents at the Saturday, April 16th event.

The Freshman Bruin Day 2016 was for admitted undergraduate students for the class of 2020. The Chemistry & Biochemistry booth had student volunteers from Alpha Chi Sigma, Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS), and the Biochemistry Association for Student Enrichment at UCLA (BiochemASE). Our faculty turnout was especially impressive. Admitted students and their families seemed to particularly enjoy the opportunity to speak with faculty members personally. Chemistry and biochemistry professors Sri Kosuri, Dick Weiss, Neil Garg, Cathy Clarke and Steve Clarke were in attendance along with instructors Heather Tienson, Zhao Li and Stacie Nakamoto.

Our Undergraduate office staff, student volunteers, and faculty members spent the day answering questions about research, academic programs, and student life at UCLA. Many admitted students made their decision to attend UCLA during Bruin Day! We are excited to welcome the new class of Bruins.

Transfer Bruin Day, for admitted transfer students, will take place Saturday, May 14, 2016.
