The UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking outstanding candidates for tenure–track or tenured faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. Successful applicants at the Assistant level will be expected to develop strong and creative research programs and to contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants at the Associate and Full levels are expected to have demonstrated excellence in all areas, including leadership.

In addition, the department invites applications for our Assistant Teaching Professor position, which includes the opportunity for promotion to a Lecturer with Security of Employment (LSOE) position, akin to tenure. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in inclusive instruction of college-level courses in one or more of the following areas: general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry; and a track record in and commitment to scholarly research in STEM pedagogy and educational practice. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching expertise in biochemistry and related areas.
