On April 19, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry welcomed thousands of future Bruins and their families for UCLA’s Annual Bruin Day event.

UCLA Bruin Day is our exclusive, annual event for admitted freshmen and their guests, with faculty presentations, academic and financial aid resources, and campus and housing tours.

The Chemistry & Biochemistry booth was hosted by the Undergraduate Student Affairs Office and volunteering undergraduate students. Prof. Miguel Garcia-Garibay (Department Chair), Alpha Chi Sigma (AXE), and the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) were also on-hand to greet prospective students and their families.

The event was a great success and provided the visitors with a chance to discover campus culture, world-class academic programs, and what it means to be a Bruin!
