The UCLA Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) were selected for the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Commendable Student Chapter Award.
The Society Committee on Education (SOCED) selects ACS student chapters to receive special recognition on the basis of their programs and activities, as described in their chapter reports. Awards are classified as outstanding, commendable, and honorable mention. UCLA SMACS joins 104 other student chapters (out of nearly 300 total student chapters) who received this award and improved on the Honorable Mention Chapter Award they received last year.
