Professor Paula Diaconescu has been elected as recipient of Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award.
This prestigious award, presented by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, is conferred in recognition of lifetime achievements in research. In addition, the award winners are invited to carry out research projects of their own choice in cooperation with specialist colleagues in Germany in order to further promote international scientific cooperation.
Prof. Diaconsescu was nominated for the award by Prof. Dr. Karsten Meyer, Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg, Erlangen/Germany.
