Professors Anastassia Alexandrova, Patrick Harran, and Margot Quinlan have agreed to serve as the Vice Chairs of the department, effective July 1, 2019.
Alexandrova will serve as the Vice Chair of Undergraduate Education, Harran will continue to serve as Vice Chair of Graduate Education, and Quinlan will serve as Vice Chair of Academic Personnel/Space Allocation.
“Anastassia, Patrick, and Margot have vigorous research programs, impressive teaching and scholarly credentials, and a great track record of leadership and dedicated service,” said Department Chair Professor Neil Garg. “They have agreed to help me make sure that our department maintains an upward course of excellence in research and education. I know they will do a great job and I thank them for taking on these vital and time-consuming jobs.”

“I’d like to thank Cathy Clarke and the previous vice chairs, Jim Bowie, Patrick Harran, and Ben Schwartz, for their dedicated service to the department during the last administration,” said Garg. “Patrick has generously agreed to stay on in his role as the Vice Chair of Graduate Education.”
