Professor Paul Weiss was featured in the February 23, 2015, issue of Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN).
Excerpt from C&EN article: “The significance of Weiss’ contributions is widely recognized by his colleagues. As the University of Michigan’s Nicholas A. Kotov puts it, Weiss’ work “is characterized by creativity, insight, and focus on the critical issues of surface science.” Kotov, an expert in nanoscale materials, adds that Weiss has developed “the most precise and versatile tools for molecular patterning known today.”

Prof. Weiss was selected for the 2015 American Chemical Society (ACS) Award in Colloid and Surface Chemistry, which recognizes and encourages outstanding scientific contributions to colloid and/or surface chemistry in North America. Prof. Weiss will present his award address on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in conjunction with the 249th ACS National Meeting in Denver, CO.
