UCLA’s chemistry and biochemistry graduate degree programs are among the best in the nation, according to US News & World Report’s Best Graduate School rankings.
The UCLA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry’s graduate program ranked No. 17 in the country. The organic program landed in the top 10, ranking No. 9, and the department’s other programs landed in the top 20 – biochemistry / biophysics / structural biology (No. 11), inorganic (No. 12), chemistry (No. 14), physical (No. 15), theoretical (No. 16), and analytical (No. 17).
U.S. News & World Report ranks schools based on surveys of programs, academic experts and professionals in their respective fields. The organization aims to provide insight for prospective students looking to further their education in different disciplines, including business, engineering, law, medicine and nursing.
The rankings are based on statistical surveys of more than 2,150 programs and reputation surveys sent to more than 23,200 academics and professionals, conducted in fall 2021 and early 2022.
