UCLA Chemistry & Biochemistry Second Ice Cream Social

Over 200 faculty, students, researchers, and staff attended the department’s second Ice Cream Social on Friday, September 12, 2025, in the Court of Sciences outside Young Hall.
The Paradise Fine Cookies and Ice Cream Truck served a wide variety of treats, including vegan options, ice cream floats, and freshly baked cookies. The mix of delicious desserts and great company made it a perfect day for all who attended—thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!
The event was also a wonderful opportunity to welcome our newest faculty members, incoming Ph.D. students, and summer undergraduate researchers. Many faculty members and their research groups attended the event and took a refreshing break from the lab to enjoy what is quickly becoming a new department tradition.
