Colin Yu-Hong Lam and Maher El-Kady were recognized at the 2015 Postdoctoral Scholars Award Ceremony on April 22nd at the CNSI auditorium.
Dr. Lam (Houk group) was one of six postdoctoral scholars who received the Chancellor’s $5000 Award for Postdoctoral Research and Dr. El-Kady (Kaner group) was one of five who received $1000 Honorable Mention awards.
Of the approximately 1,133 registered UCLA postdoctoral scholars, 26 were nominated for the Chancellor’s Award for Postdoctoral Research. The nominees represent many disciplines at UCLA, from the basic and applied sciences to the professional schools, the social sciences, and the humanities.

The award was established in 1998 to recognize the important contributions made by postdoctoral scholars to UCLA’s interrelated missions of research, teaching, and public service.
