Amgen Scholars
The Amgen Scholars Program is a national program to increase learning and networking opportunities for students committed to pursuing a career in science or engineering. Students interested in summer research in any area of biomedical science, chemistry, bioengineering or chemical engineering are encouraged to apply.
Students will be paired with a UCLA faculty mentor if the student does not already have one. Program typically includes stipend; housing; meals; 2-day biotechnology in Los Angeles; luncheons with faculty; workshops; seminars and poster presentations.

The Collaboration in Undergraduate Research Enrichment (C.U.R.E.) at UCLA is a student organization representing the life sciences and biomedical research. Their goal is to expose undergraduate students to research opportunities.

NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.

National Nuclear Chemistry Summer Schools
The Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring two INTENSIVE six-week Summer Schools in Nuclear and Radiochemistry for undergraduates. Funding is provided by the US Department of Energy. Fellowships include a stipend of $4000, all tuition and fees, transportation to and from the Summer School location, housing, books, and laboratory supplies. Transferable college credit will be awarded.
