Join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for our annual Commencement Ceremony honoring the accomplishments of graduating departmental students as they conclude this chapter of their academic journey.

Tickets are required for those attending in-person.

*Commencement Program*

Event Information

Our departmental commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 5:00PM in the Court of Sciences.

Graduates will need to arrive by 3:30PM to check-in. An undergraduate check-in table will be set up in the Court of Sciences. Check-in is mandatory, or your name will not be called during the ceremony.

  • To ensure a smooth check-in process, graduating undergraduates are recommended to complete the Google Form that the Undergraduate Office will send out on May 4th.

Ticket Information

The first round of ticket ordering begins May 8th at 12:00PM and closes on May 22nd at 11:59PM. Tickets can be ordered through MyUCLA – Academics – Commencement. During this time, graduates can order their student ticket and up to 10 guest tickets. The student ticket and first 4 guest tickets are free. Each additional guest ticket after this will be $20 each and non-refundable.

  • Please note that the first 4 guest tickets are guaranteed, and the additional 6 tickets are subject to approval and venue capacity. If approved, this will be reflected after May 27th.

For those who believe they will need more than 10 tickets, our office will send out an email to all graduates on how to request additional guest tickets on Friday, May 29th

  • The deadline to request additional tickets is Friday, June 5th at 4:00PM.

Parking Information

We anticipate that parking will be impacted on the day of our event. Guests are recommended to rideshare, if possible. For parking information, including campus parking maps, click here.

  • To avoid long lines at the self-service pay stations on campus, it is recommended to purchase your parking permit through the Bruin ePermit system in advance of attending the Commencement ceremonies.
