Title: Rational Design of Alternating Current Electrolysis (ACE) for Organic Synthesis
Abstract: In this presentation, I will talk about the history of alternating current electrolysis (ACE) for organic synthesis and our recent work on exploring and quantitatively understanding the unique reactivity of ACE, including mimicking the redox-neutral environment of photoredox catalysis, controlling the one- or two-electron oxidation for selective amine functionalization, and site-selective hydrogen isotope exchange reactions.
