Integrating Computational Molecular Modeling into Science Curricula

Description

Join Houk group alumni Dr. Katherine (Kat) Bay, Ph.D. ’20, Senior Scientist II at Schrödinger, and Prof. Hung Pham, Ph.D. ’15, Associate Adjunct Professor, UCLA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, on Friday, June 20, 2025 for a free, in-person workshop hosted by the UCLA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and Schrödinger. This workshop will bring together chemistry and biology educators from across the Los Angeles area to explore interdisciplinary teaching strategies.

Participants will learn how to design lesson plans that integrate chemistry, biology, and physics concepts using computational molecular visualization, modeling, and simulation.

The event will also include a free lunch and a networking hour with fellow science educators from schools and universities throughout Southern California.
