- Statement of financial need (1 page long, PDF format)
- Statement of plans to use chemistry in career (1 page long, PDF format)
- Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a faculty member).
- Recommenders should email their letters to the Undergraduate Office (ugrad@chem.ucla.edu).
*This award is considered financial aid, and will affect your financial aid package for this academic year.*
The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:
- The student must be a departmental major in their sophomore to senior year.
- The student must have shown aptitude and promise as demonstrated by laboratory and class work, as a potentially creative individual for the chemical profession.
- The student is preferably not at the top of their academic class, but would be at the B to A- level.
- The student’s family must demonstrate a real financial need for support.
