Description | Organic Colloquium "New Strategies for Hydrocarbon Functionalization" Abstract. Hydrocarbon functionalization is widely used for the stereoselective synthesis of highly functionalized compounds. In this lecture, our work involving the development of new synthetic reactions using alkenes and alkanes for the synthesis of diverse functionalized small molecules will be presented. Topics will include catalytic C-C bond formation using alkyl halides, and radical-mediated alkene and alkane functionalizations. |
