The department welcomed its incoming class of graduate students with a full agenda of activities during the week of September 21.

The first two days were filled with information sessions about academics, department operations, and student life. Students heard from the graduate office, various faculty and staff, and then, Wednesday and Thursday were devoted to teacher assistant training, complete with demonstrations.

This stimulating and informative week culminated in a graduate student reception on Court of Sciences patio which brought together new students, continuing students, faculty, and staff.
