Professor Neil Garg
KCET’s online magazine “Southland Sessions” and UCLA Arts “Works in Progress” podcast feature Professor Neil Garg and his passion for education.  
 
The online article, by journalist and podcast host Avishay Artsy, is titled “Making Organic Chemistry and Scientific Literacy Approachable with UCLA Professor Neil Garg”.  Artsy currently works at the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture.
 
In the UCLA Arts podcast “Works In Progress” Garg speaks with Artsy about using humor to get students excited about chemistry.
 
As part of the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture's "10 Questions: Reckoning" annual series, Garg will take part in a discussion on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 pm, responding to the question “What Is Humor?” alongside writer and director Dominic Taylor, and cognitive psychologist and author Scott Weems. Professor Neil Garg is the Chair of the UCLA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and the inaugural holder of the Kenneth N. Trueblood Endowed Chair in Chemistry & Biochemistry. He is known for his innovative teaching techniques, and his breakthroughs in methods development, achievements in natural product total synthesis, and transformative chemical educational initiatives.
