GENERAL CHEMISTRY LAB LECTURER POSITION IN CHEMISTRY, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY, UCLA

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA seeks applications for a one-quarter (subject to renewal) lecturer to teach introductory general chemistry laboratory during the Winter and Spring quarters of 2012. Responsibilities will include lecturing, overseeing labs, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing exams and problem sets, supervising teaching assistants and monitoring their instruction in the laboratories. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in chemistry and have prior experience teaching laboratory skills to students.

BIOCHEMISTRY AND MOLECULARY BIOLOGY FACULTY POSITION
University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

The Biochemistry Division of the UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (www.biochemistry.ucla.edu) is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure track faculty position. The position may be filled at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We invite candidates in any area of biochemistry and molecular biology. Candidates whose research includes a focus on systems biology, metabolomics, proteomics, single molecule biophysics, or high-resolution cellular imaging are especially encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a strong and creative research program and contribute to teaching in biochemistry at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
